BJP’s Ravi Shankar Prasad Slams Congress Leaders Over Remarks on Pahalgam Terror Attack

  • April 28, 2025, 4:31 p.m.

Senior BJP leader and MP Ravi Shankar Prasad criticized Congress leaders for their comments following the Pahalgam terror attack, questioning the leadership of Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge. Speaking to reporters, Prasad asked whether the Congress high command is unable to control its members, stating that "everyone is given the freedom to speak whatever they want," leading to serious repercussions.

He pointed out that the remarks made by certain Congress leaders are being exploited by Pakistan in its media campaigns. At a time when the nation should be united and speaking in one voice against terrorism, he said, Congress leaders are weakening India's stance internationally.

Prasad also targeted Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, questioning whether he had been asked to apologize for his statements. "Has anyone from the Congress leadership even reprimanded him?" he asked, accusing the party of demeaning India before Pakistan for political gains.

"We strongly condemn this attitude," Prasad said, calling for responsible behavior from political parties during such a sensitive time. He emphasized the need for national unity over petty politics in the face of terrorism.
