National Spokesperson for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Gaurav Bhatia, has criticized a statement made by the Home Minister of Karnataka, G Parameshwara, calling it “anti-India, saddening and worrying.”

Parameshwara had claimed that the Pulwama attack happened under the direction of the central government. Bhatia expressed disbelief at the statement, saying, “It’s beyond trust that the character of Congress has been anti-India today.”

Bhatia further accused Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge, of making similar statements. He referred to the time of the Balakot air strike when parties like Congress, Samajwadi Party (SP), and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had asked for proof and made what he termed as “ridiculous statements.”

Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala had called the incident ‘homegrown terrorism’, a statement Bhatia believes was made to maintain relations with an enemy nation. “The same anti-India mindset is revealed through the statement of G Parameshwara,” Bhatia said.

Bhatia concluded by saying that there is no place for such a statement in a democracy. If Congress continues to hold this stand, he believes it must be said that “Congress, because of its deeds, has no place in India.”

He ended his statement with a pointed question to the Congress party, “You asked for proof from the Indian army, now people of India are asking whether you are an Indian or not.”
