NEW DELHI: The political temperature in the capital city escalated today as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staged a protest demanding the resignation of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The protest was led by Bansuri Swaraj, the BJP candidate from the New Delhi Lok Sabha Constituency.

Swaraj, in her address to the crowd, criticized Kejriwal’s leadership, stating, “Running the government from the jail is unfavourable to the people of Delhi.” She further questioned Kejriwal’s moral compass, asking, “Why is his soul asleep? You should resign based on ethics.”

The BJP’s protest comes amid allegations of corruption against Kejriwal and his party, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). The Delhi CM has been under scrutiny for his alleged involvement in a series of corruption scandals that have rocked the city’s political landscape.

Swaraj also accused the AAP of attempting to manipulate public sentiment through press conferences. “They are doing press conferences to create false sympathy,” she said, implying that the AAP was using the media to deflect attention from the allegations against them.

The BJP’s demand for Kejriwal’s resignation has added fuel to the already heated political environment in Delhi. The AAP, however, has dismissed the BJP’s protest as a political stunt aimed at discrediting Kejriwal and his party ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

As the political drama unfolds, the citizens of Delhi are left waiting for a resolution. The allegations against Kejriwal have raised serious questions about his ability to lead, and the BJP’s protest has only intensified the public’s demand for transparency and accountability in the city’s governance.

The coming days will undoubtedly be crucial for Kejriwal and the AAP as they navigate the storm of controversy surrounding them. Whether Kejriwal will heed the BJP’s call for his resignation remains to be seen. For now, the political future of Delhi hangs in the balance.
