BJP Member of Parliament Rao Rajendra Singh has condemned the remarks made by Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Ramji Lal Suman regarding Rana Sanga, calling the comments disrespectful to the warrior king's legacy. Singh emphasized that while the Constitution guarantees the freedom of expression, it also expects individuals to maintain respect for those who defended the country’s honor.

"Constitution gives us the freedom of expression, but expects you to maintain the dignity of people who protected our country... Rana Sanga is the symbol of valour, and it is unfortunate that the opposition did not condemn the derogatory remarks used against him," Singh said, referring to the comments made by Suman. He added, "They have today clarified that they don't have any sentiments for the Indian culture."

Singh's remarks come in response to the controversial statement by SP MP Ramji Lal Suman, which many, including BJP leaders, have deemed disrespectful toward the historical figure of Rana Sanga. Singh argued that such remarks are indicative of a lack of respect for India’s rich cultural and historical heritage.

The BJP has continued to highlight the importance of honoring figures like Rana Sanga, Maharana Pratap, and other historical icons, viewing them as integral symbols of India's valor and national pride. The issue has sparked further political debate, with Singh accusing the opposition of failing to show proper reverence toward the country’s cultural history.
