BJP Member of Parliament Manoj Tigga has strongly condemned the recent attack on the residence of BJP leader Arjun Singh in West Bengal, calling attention to what he described as a breakdown of law and order in the state. Tigga accused the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government of targeting opposition leaders, particularly those from the BJP, and undermining democratic principles.

In a statement regarding the incident, Tigga said, "There is no law and order in West Bengal. Opposition leaders, particularly those belonging to the BJP, are being targeted. The TMC government doesn’t believe in democracy and the Constitution."

The attack on Arjun Singh’s residence has intensified tensions between the ruling TMC and the BJP, with Singh himself blaming the state's ruling party for orchestrating the attack. This incident is seen as the latest in a series of clashes between political factions in West Bengal, especially as the state gears up for upcoming elections.

Tigga’s remarks come at a time when the BJP is vocal in its criticism of the TMC government’s handling of political dissent, claiming that opposition leaders are being systematically harassed and targeted. He further suggested that such actions reveal a disregard for the values of democracy and constitutional rights, pointing to a pattern of violence and intimidation in the state.

The BJP has called for a thorough investigation into the attack on Arjun Singh’s residence and for the West Bengal government to take swift action to ensure the safety of all citizens, regardless of their political affiliations. As political tensions rise in the state, the controversy surrounding the attack is likely to continue shaping the discourse between the BJP and the TMC in the coming weeks.
