New Delhi — Newly elected BJP MP Kangana Ranaut praised the central government for its women-focused welfare initiatives, asserting that the BJP has transformed governance by empowering women and breaking the monopoly of nepotism in Indian politics.

“The first thing the BJP government did after coming to power was to build toilets, give free gas cylinders, and free ration which the Government of India is providing,” said Ranaut, addressing the media in Delhi.

She highlighted schemes such as Drone Didi, programs for pregnant women, and scholarship schemes aimed at supporting the girl child and promoting female education and employment. “The 33% reservation given to women is the Prime Minister’s gratitude to the daughters of this country; otherwise, politics was a field of nepotism,” she added.

Ranaut’s remarks reflect the government’s ongoing efforts to showcase its pro-women policy framework and social welfare reforms, particularly in rural and underserved communities.
