BJP Member of Parliament Hema Malini has raised concerns over the safety of Krishna devotees in Bangladesh, demanding that the Indian government take immediate action to ensure their protection. Speaking about the issue on Wednesday, Malini emphasized that this was not just a foreign policy matter but one that deeply affects the sentiments of Krishna devotees and Sanatan Dharma followers.

"We raised the issue of Bangladesh yesterday. I have demanded from my government to provide security to Krishna Bhakts and all Sanatani brothers in Bangladesh," Malini said, underlining the urgency of safeguarding religious minorities abroad, particularly those who follow Hindu traditions.

Her comments come in the wake of rising concerns over the safety of Hindu communities in Bangladesh, which has seen sporadic violence targeting religious minorities in recent years. The BJP MP stressed that the situation is not just a diplomatic issue, but one that touches the emotions and well-being of the global Hindu community, specifically the Krishna devotees.

Malini's statement highlights the BJP's continued focus on issues related to the protection of Hindu interests, both within India and abroad. She has called on the Indian government to prioritize the safety of Hindus in Bangladesh, underscoring the importance of religious freedom and security for all citizens, irrespective of their location.

The BJP MP’s remarks have added to the ongoing political discourse on the condition of religious minorities in Bangladesh, as well as India’s role in ensuring the welfare of its diaspora.
