BJP MLA Shikha Rai has criticized the Delhi government’s budget under the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), calling it "superficial" and lacking depth. Rai emphasized that the BJP’s proposed budget, in contrast, is far more thorough and comprehensive, addressing not only large-scale issues but also the smallest concerns of every community in Delhi.

In her statement, Shikha Rai said, “Their (AAP) budgets were superficial... It is a comprehensive and complete budget, which has taken cognisance of the smallest issue and every community in Delhi.” She further added, "Through this budget, a huge change will come in Delhi within a year."

Rai’s comments reflect a broader political debate over the allocation of funds and the priorities set by the Delhi government in its annual budget. The BJP MLA argued that the BJP's approach focuses on a wide array of issues that affect daily life, from infrastructure to social welfare, positioning it as a more inclusive plan for all residents.

The AAP government’s budget has faced scrutiny from opposition parties, with the BJP claiming that it lacks the necessary long-term vision and fails to tackle fundamental problems in the city. Rai’s remarks position the BJP’s proposal as a solution that addresses the real needs of Delhiites, focusing on transformative changes within a year.

As Delhi prepares for the upcoming financial year, these differing views on the city’s future development promise to keep the political discourse heated, with the BJP arguing for a more inclusive and community-centric approach.
