BJP Leader Shehzad Poonawalla Slams Congress Over Robert Vadra's Remarks, Alleges Attempt to "Whitewash" Terror

BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, particularly targeting Robert Vadra for his recent comments following the Pahalgam terror attack. Poonawalla accused Vadra—and by extension, the Congress leadership—of attempting to shift blame and allegedly defending terrorist elements.

"This is the most shameful, atrocious utterance done by the Congress party, Robert Vadra at the behest of Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi," Poonawalla stated. "In a sense, it is to defend the Pakistani terrorists, to give them a clean chit, to whitewash this crime of Islamic Jihad, and to blame Hindus and justify the terror."

He further alleged a pattern in Congress's response to national security incidents, saying, "After 26/11, they blamed Hindus; after the Pulwama attack, they blamed security forces."

The remarks come amid heightened political tensions following the Pahalgam attack, as parties across the spectrum weigh in with sharply divided narratives.
