Amid ongoing India-Pakistan tensions and heightened security concerns, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting at his residence, 7 Lok Kalyan Marg, in Delhi. The meeting was attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan, and the chiefs of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force.

The top leadership discussed the current security situation along India’s borders and reviewed the operational preparedness of the armed forces. According to sources, the focus of the meeting was to assess the impact of the recent cross-border strikes under Operation Sindoor, and to ensure India remains vigilant against any further threats. PM Modi was briefed in detail about military readiness and the strategic response options in place.

The discussions also included evaluating intelligence reports, coordinating inter-agency security mechanisms, and reinforcing both internal and external defence frameworks. With increased drone activity and ceasefire violations reported along the border, the Centre is keeping close tabs on developments.

The meeting reflects India’s resolve to respond decisively to any threat to its sovereignty and to support the armed forces with full political backing. Officials stated that further review meetings may be scheduled as the situation evolves.
