Kerala BJP President K Surendran Accuses Muslim League and Radical Elements of Attacking Vellappally Natesan and SNDP Yogam

Kerala BJP President K. Surendran has launched a scathing attack on the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), accusing the party and radical elements of targeting Vellappally Natesan and the Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam.

Speaking to the media in Delhi, Surendran alleged that Natesan, a prominent leader of the SNDP, has come under fire for speaking candidly about the socio-political realities in Malappuram, a Muslim-majority district in Kerala. “There is no democracy and equality,” he said, referring to the alleged marginalization of Hindu organizations in the region.

Surendran claimed that during the IUML’s time in power, especially while holding the Education Ministry portfolio, Hindu organizations like the SNDP and Nair Service Society (NSS) were denied allotments for schools. “There were only Muslim organisations and schools,” he stated, calling it a long-standing issue of institutional bias.

He also criticized the Congress and CPI(M) for allegedly remaining silent on the matter to protect their vote banks. “Congress and CPIM are supporting the Muslim League. They are keeping mum for vote bank politics,” Surendran said.

The remarks are likely to stir political debate in Kerala, where communal sensitivities and caste equations play a crucial role in electoral politics. Neither the IUML nor leaders from the Congress or CPI(M) have responded yet to the allegations.
