Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa Criticizes AAP’s Actions in Punjab's Education System

Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), accusing the party of trying to destroy Punjab’s education system. Sirsa condemned the party’s actions, claiming they were shifting their focus from governance to party promotion by manipulating the education sector.

“After destroying Delhi and its schools, they (AAP) have started working to destroy Punjab too. First, they destroyed it with drugs, then with crime, and now with the education system,” Sirsa said during his remarks. He claimed that AAP was making teachers act as social media volunteers, ordering them to create accounts on platforms like Twitter (X), Facebook, and Instagram, and even stream events involving Punjab ministers or MLAs live on these platforms.

“The order further says, ‘if your school is hosting an inauguration event with Punjab minister or MLA, please telecast the program live on X,’” Sirsa added, referring to the party's move to utilize teachers for political purposes. He also mentioned the campaign's name, “Shiksha Kranti” (Education Revolution), calling it a misguided attempt by AAP to associate its political agenda with educational activities.

Sirsa further criticized Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi and national convenor of AAP, claiming that his constant self-appreciation was causing political depression, making him neglect essential governance responsibilities. “These looters have entered Punjab, and they are so habitual of self-appreciation; Arvind Kejriwal has such depression that he can't come out of self-appreciation," Sirsa stated.

He expressed disappointment over AAP’s apparent plan to turn teachers into workers for their IT Wing, calling it shameful. “AAP now wants to make teachers workers of the IT Wing. This is very shameful. I strongly condemn this,” Sirsa remarked.

Ending his statement on a defiant note, Sirsa warned that if AAP did not stop such actions, the people of Punjab would soon hold Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and other AAP ministers accountable. “If AAP doesn't deter from such petty actions, people of Punjab will teach a lesson to AAP ministers and MLAs as well as Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia,” he concluded.

The comments reflect the ongoing political rivalry between the BJP and AAP, with education and governance being central points of contention in the Punjab political landscape.
