Amid ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, BJP national spokesperson Jaiveer Shergill has said that India’s actions are purely retaliatory and necessary in the face of continuous provocations from across the border. Speaking in Delhi, Shergill stated that Pakistan must change its ways and stop encouraging terrorism.

“India is only taking retaliatory action. Pakistan should still mend its ways,” Shergill said. He emphasized that the Indian response is not an act of escalation, but a firm answer to repeated acts of terrorism.

Taking a firm stand, he added, “It is time to give Pakistan a dose. Today, the Modi government and the Indian Army are giving Pakistan a dose to free it from the addiction of terrorism.” His remarks reflect the sentiment of strong public and political support for Operation Sindoor and India’s military response to terror activities sponsored by Pakistan.

The statement adds to the growing chorus of voices from the ruling party expressing confidence in the Indian armed forces and reaffirming the government’s tough stance on cross-border terrorism. Shergill’s use of the term “dose” underscores the idea that these actions are a corrective step aimed at compelling Pakistan to abandon its support for terror groups.
