In a sharp critique of the recent political developments in Jammu and Kashmir, BJP leader Smriti Irani has raised a series of questions about the newly announced alliance between the Congress party and the National Conference (NC). Irani's statements, made at a press conference today, have amplified the ongoing debate over the political future of the region.

Irani accused the Congress party of forming an "unholy alliance" with the National Conference, questioning their shared objectives and implications for national unity and regional stability. "The Congress party and the National Conference came together to pursue power, but their alliance raises numerous questions about their true intentions," Irani said.

Key among her concerns is the National Conference's position on Jammu and Kashmir's autonomy and its historical demands, including the reinstatement of Article 370 and Article 35A. "The National Conference has publicly announced their intent to restore Article 370 and Article 35A," Irani stated. "Does the Congress party support this agenda of breaking India? The people of Jammu and Kashmir and the entire nation deserve clarity on this matter."

Irani further questioned the Congress party's stance on several contentious issues. "The National Conference talks about a separate flag for J&K. Does the Congress party endorse this? What about their stance on the LoC trade while Pakistan continues to support terrorism? Is Congress aligned with Pakistan's agenda of creating unrest in J&K?"

Additionally, Irani highlighted concerns regarding economic governance, accusing the National Conference of fostering corruption. "Does the Congress party intend to push J&K's economy back into the hands of a few families who have previously exploited the region’s resources?"

The BJP leader also took issue with the idea of granting increased autonomy to Kashmir. "The National Conference's divisive politics on autonomy raises further questions," she said. "Does the Congress party support this dangerous agenda?"

Irani's remarks reflect a broader BJP strategy to challenge the credibility and coherence of the Congress-NC alliance, particularly as political maneuvers intensify ahead of upcoming elections. The Congress party has yet to issue a formal response to these allegations.

As political tensions escalate, the spotlight remains on both the Congress party and the National Conference to address these critical questions and clarify their positions on Jammu and Kashmir's future.
