New Delhi: To strengthen Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities within government institutions and public sector companies, the India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), in collaboration with the Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) and the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), has launched a three-day ‘AI Champions for Digital Governance’ summit in New Delhi.

Participants in this program are receiving practical training in areas such as prompt engineering, document analysis, data extraction, and AI-assisted drafting, which helps fulfill the objectives of the Government of India’s IndiaAI Mission. This program has been underway at Hotel Samrat since July 13 and will continue until July 15.

Speaking at the inaugural session, S. Radha Chauhan, Chairperson of the Capacity Building Commission, emphasized that AI has now become a core organizational capability and called for its responsible integration into governance and decision-making processes. Vivek Agrawal, Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, highlighted the growing role of AI in enhancing operational efficiency, public service delivery, and institutional knowledge.

This initiative reflects the shared commitment of ITDC, SCOPE, and LBSNAA to create an AI-ready public sector and advance India’s digital governance agenda in alignment with the visions of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ and ‘Digital India’.
