Ghaziabad, October 6, 2026: The Ghaziabad district administration has launched an initiative to integrate modern technology and innovative practices into government schools. A significant step was taken today as District Magistrate Mr Ravindra Kumar Mandar inaugurated a Robotics and STEM Innovation Lab at Abhyudaya Composite School in the Madhuban Bapudham area (City Zone).
This pilot project is part of the District Magistrate’s broader vision to transform education in government schools by providing students with opportunities for practical, skill-based, and technology-centric learning. Students from classes 1st to 8th study at Abhyudaya Composite School. Through the newly established Robotics and STEM Innovation Lab, students will gain an understanding of the principles of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
The lab facilitates learning through activities such as robotics, sensors, coding, design, and problem-solving. The objective is to foster curiosity, logical thinking, creativity, a scientific temperament, and an innovative mindset in children from an early age. The core spirit of this initiative is for children not merely to read about theories but to visualise them, experiment, learn intuitively, and find solutions through hands-on effort. For them, this technology represents more than just a subject; it serves as a medium to learn and bring their imaginations to life.
Institutional Co-operation Through Contracts
To formalise and establish a long-term framework for this prototype collaboration, an agreement has been signed between the Basic Education Officer (Samagra Shiksha), Ghaziabad, and the Sarva-Hitam Manav Seva Sansthan (SHMSS). Under this agreement, initiatives will be undertaken to set up and operate robotics and STEM innovation labs in government schools and to integrate academic studies with activity-based technical education. The project is being implemented and operated by the Sarva-Hitam Manav Seva Sansthan (SHMSS) through CSR support.
This initiative will play a pivotal role in implementing the district administration’s vision at the grassroots level. It represents a significant step towards realising the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 by providing students with new opportunities for experiential, skill-based, and innovative learning. The district administration aims to ensure that access to modern technology and innovation is not limited to a select few, but that every student in government schools gets the opportunity to learn, experiment, and turn their ideas into reality.
This pilot project, which began in a single school, marks the first step towards expanding the initiative to over 100 schools in the near future. Today, these young hands hold a small model; tomorrow, those same hands could be solving major challenges.
