Seagull offers book publishing course

In a bid to encourage more entrepreneurs in book publishing, Seagull School of Publishing has come up with courses in book design and editing. Speaking during the launch of the programme, senior editor and graphic designer of the Seagull Books Sunandini Banerjee said: “It is an initiative of Seagull Foundation for the Arts and Seagull Books with support from the Embassy of Norway in New Delhi.

We are offering theoretical knowledge as well as hands-on training in collaboration with leading publishers in the city as well as in the country and abroad.”
She also informed that course 1 would commence from January 2 till March 31, 2013 and course 2 would start from June 1 and continue till August 31, 2013.
The Seagull Foundation would conduct an admission test to select the eligible candidates. Interested students and budding entrepreneurs in book publishing will have to shell out `50,000 as course fees.
